‘The American LOWS:Post Traumatic Slavery Disorder’ Film Screening @PGAAMCC

A special community screening of ‘American LOWS’ followed by a discussion with the filmmaker, Darnley Hodge.

The American LOWS “Post Traumatic Slavery Disorder” series is a collection of interview-based documentaries by Darnley Hodge, of Blackamoor Films, that examine the global system of racism/white supremacy and the evolution of that system in America. Interviewees include some of the nations top scholars, researchers, politicians, and authorities. Perhaps by understanding how today’s racial dynamics are connected to the more overtly racist practices of the past, we can finally identify and rout out the most stubborn and elusive remaining residues from our deeply soiled national history.
