The Prince George's Chamber of Commerce was founded in December 1924 during a gathering of business leaders in the Hyattsville City Armory. Since that time, the Prince George's Chamber has earned its well-deserved reputation as the voice of business in the County, through its aggressive pursuit of a healthy economic climate for business and an improved quality of life for County residents.

The Chamber's Mission is to advance the interests of business for a    vibrant Prince George’s County.

In carrying out its mission, the chamber:

• aggressively promotes an understanding of the importance of business and appreciation for the issues of concern to the business community
• utilizes the full resources of its membership in a proactive manner to influence public opinion and the actions of elected officials on issues

• provides strong business community leadership to achieve objectives relating to growth, development, and public well being which are common to both the business community and Prince George's County
• promotes programs of a civic, social, and cultural nature which will improve the quality of life for Prince George's County residents and the business community.
